24/7 Hotline

Our hotline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to listen, help create a safety plan, and more. If you need help, please call our hotline to speak with a trained advocate at (785)843-3333.

Emergency & Safety Support

Emergency Shelter

The Willow's shelter is a 24-hour staffed facility serving survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. This safe space provides survivors with an opportunity to begin lives free from abuse. Our advocates help survivors plan goals, get assistance booking medical and court appointments, pursue education or career opportunities, and provide material assistance in starting over. The shelter is located at a confidential location and open to all survivors.

Community Outreach

SERVICES

Court Advocacy

The Willow provides assistance with navigating court processes, including filing protection orders, attending civil court proceedings, and making legal referrals.

Community Advocacy Program

Our Community Advocacy Program advocates in Lawrence work with survivors in a community-based setting. They assist clients with creating safety plans, completing Protection from Abuse (PFA) and Protection from Stalking (PFS) documents in Douglas County, attending court hearings, and navigating local systems. Our CAP team works to create and maintain strong community partnerships. Additionally, they can connect clients with appropriate referrals and resources while providing emotional support during difficult times.

Rural Advocacy

Our Community Advocacy Program includes CAP services in our rural communities. We serve rural Douglas County, Franklin, and Jefferson Counties. Our rural advocates offer all the same services as our Douglas County advocates, with additional support for court advocacy and assistance with filling out Protection From Abuse (PFA) and Protection From Stalking (PFS) petitions in their respective counties. They guide clients through various systems to help them feel safe. They work closely with community partners to create community-coordinated responses, and they maintain many important relationships with local businesses, agencies, and community members. Additionally, they conduct presentations and set up informational tables at community events, schools, and local universities and higher education institutions to raise awareness about domestic violence (DV), human trafficking (HT), teen dating violence (TDV), and Willow services.

Human Trafficking

The Willow offers safe shelter and housing, confidential advice, information, and advocacy for survivors of human trafficking. Human Trafficking is the use of force, fraud, or coercion to control victims for the purpose of engaging in commercial sex acts or labor services against their will. There are many misconceptions about human trafficking. If you want to learn more, visit our presentation page to explore options and book your free presentation today!

Transitional Housing

SERVICES

Along with Tenants to Homeowners, the Willow provides one group home and several single-family homes for 2-3 years leases at affordable rates for survivors.

Restoration House

Phoenix House is a collaborative program of the Willow and Tenants to Homeowners. It is a 1-2 year transitional living program that offers a supportive environment for youth aged 18-24 who have aged out of the foster care system, are currently homeless, or are at risk of becoming homeless. We offer low-cost housing with an on-site case manager who provides support and direction to ensure youth are prepared to live independently after exiting the program.
