Provides legal assistance for people who have had their civil rights 
violated. Generally the ACLU does not accept the following types of 
cases: family law, denial of government benefits, landlord-tenant 
disputes, criminal defense, complaints about attorneys, or 
employment matters.

Court-assigned advocates for abused or neglected children who have 
been put in the custody of the court

Enforces child support orders, locates absent parents and their property, gets an order of paternity, gets an order for cash child support, gets and enforces an order for health insurance coverage for a child, and/or watching to make sure support payments come in regularly.  CSE automatically serves families receiving Temporary Assistance to Families (TAF), foster care, medical assistance, food assistance, and child care assistance. CSE also serves any family, regardless of income or residency, who needs and applies for CSE services.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Legal assistance provided by third year law students;  handles cases in 
areas such as domestic relations, municipal court criminal cases, juvenile 
cases as appoinetd by the court, landlord/tenant cases, consumer cases 
and public assistance cases.

To assure that adults who are without family or financial resources and who are
identified by SRS as in need of a court appointed guardian and/or conservator 
will have available a qualified, trained and caring volunteer to serve as their
legally appointed guardian and/or conservator.

Helps low income Kansans meet their basic needs through the provision
 of essential legal, mediation and employment training services.

Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Provides emergency residential care for children as a result of law 
enforcement and/or court action between ages of 10-18

Handles child support enforcement of IV-D cases when a parent has 
received public assistance
