Early Childhood Special Services - Developmental screens for ages 3-5 for vision, hearing, speech & motor development. Preschool for 4 year olds and Parents as Teachers (for children birth to age

Hospice is for anyone with a life-threatening or terminal illness and usually a prognosis of 6 months or less to live (depends on the insurance company); covered by Medicare, Medicaid and by many private insurance companies. Physician services; Specializes in Alzheimer and Dementia care; Intermittent skilled nursing visits; On-call nursing service is available around the clock, seven days a week; Helping patients and family members understand their Medicare benefits; Prescriptions and equipment for pain relief and symptom management related to the terminal diagnosis; Short-term inpatient care and respite care; Home Health Aide and homemaker services; Physical, occupational and speech-language therapy; Music therapy; Pet therapy; Chaplain services; Counseling; Bereavement; Medical social service

Immunizations, well child screenings, WIC nutritional program, assistance with finding a family doctor, free wellness exams and developmental evaluations for children ages 0 -5 without health insurance or children up to 8 who are first-time entrants into school, TB skin tests (not administered on Thursdays), STD testing and  treatment, counseling, education, Hepatitis A and B vaccinations for eligible clients, HIV counseilng, testing, education, Hepatitis C testing for at risk individuals, diagnosis and treatment of vaginal infections, testicular exams, health education and counseling, pregnancy tests, birth control options (pills, injection, condoms, diaphragms, sterilization referral)
Appts. necessary, except for immunizations. Charges a fee, but not turned away if one can't afford it

Provides servicse to people actively working on recovery from serious mental illness

in Douglas County, including peer-to-peer support, support groups, self-help groups,

teaches independent living skills, and addiction recovery groups
